The TU Berlin Summer and Winter University is looking forward to launching its first 2017 winter program, welcoming international students to the German capital for four weeks of academic study at the Berlin Institute of Technology (TU Berlin). With three courses on offer across cutting-edge science, technology, and business subjects, and an immersive accompanying cultural program, our Winter University is a unique learning opportunity for internationally-minded students.
The following courses will start from January 3rd 2017:
CanSat: Hands-on Satellite Design
A CanSat is a small satellite in shape of a commercial beverage can that performs several measuring tasks. In this course, a CanSat is designed, built and tested in the field during a rocket launch.
Programming in Java
In this course students will learn how to write computer programs in the programming language Java. Students will work individually and in groups, with the course culminating in a big project at the end.
Startup Crash Course: From Idea to Reality
This course is for budding entrepreneurs who want to gain insight into launching a startup. Participants will learn theory, have guest talks from startup owners in Berlin, and will work on their own business models in groups, which they will pitch to investors in a mock investor pitch.
